India is undergoing one of the world's fastest energy transitions. As the nation advances towards its Net Zero 2070 commitment, clean energy has become central to its economic growth, energy security and industrial competitiveness. As of 30 June 2026, India has installed 297.36 GW of non-fossil fuel electricity capacity, comprising 288.58 GW of renewable energy and 8.78 GW of nuclear power, reaffirming its position among the world's leading clean energy markets. Supported by progressive policies and an ambitious target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, India continues to create unprecedented opportunities across the renewable energy ecosystem.

The sector's remarkable growth is equally reflected in investor confidence. Since FY2014 through FY2026, India's renewable energy sector has attracted approximately USD 45.72 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). During the same period, domestic financial institutions—including Public Sector Banks, IREDA, PFC, REC, IIFCL, NaBFID and SIDBI—have collectively deployed over ₹12.32 lakh crore towards renewable energy development, underscoring the scale of investment driving India's clean energy transformation.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, 2nd India Energy X will be held from 6–8 May 2027 at Yashobhoomi (IICC), New Delhi, co-located with the 6th International Expo & Summit on Bioenergy Value Chain (Bioenergy, Biofuels & Biomaterials). Together, the two events will showcase the complete clean energy value chain—from renewable power, bioenergy, biofuels and biomaterials to green hydrogen, energy storage, future fuels, advanced technologies and sustainable industrial solutions. Bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers, manufacturers, utilities, investors, financial institutions, researchers, start-ups and international stakeholders, 2nd India Energy X will serve as the premier meeting place for innovation, collaboration and investment across the rapidly evolving clean energy landscape.

The global energy transition is no longer being driven by individual technologies, but by integrated solutions that combine renewable energy, bioenergy, advanced fuels, energy storage and industrial innovation. 2nd India Energy X has been conceived to reflect this convergence.
